Samanak is a sweet paste made entirely from germinated wheat (young wheatgrass), which is prepared for Nowruz (New Year's Day). Samanak Tandoori or Samanak Bread is made from Whole Wheat Flour and Wheat Juice (Water), it tastes sweet and sticky and is traditionally prepared in north Afghanistan.
Newruz is the Persian New Year and is celebrated in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and many other countries.
Here we are demonstrating how Afghans start the celebration of Nauroz by preparing traditional Samanak.
🌸INGREDIENTS
Wheat : 500 G
Water for watering
Use 4 Liter Water in total for blending
Samanak Degi (Samanak Paste)
Wheat Water : 2, 5 Liter
Whole Wheat Flour : 1 KG
Walnuts
Samanak Bread
Wheat Water : 1 Liter
Sugar : 90 G
Whole Wheat Flour : 1, 3 KG
Oil
